About Us
Solace at Vivian’s (SAV) is dedicated to Vivian Roper, a single mother of two daughters and a nephew she raised as her son when her youngest sister wanted to give him up for adoption. Vivian struggled over the years to raise her three children. Her primary support of income was government assistance. She often showed significant signs of depression and severe mood swings and drank heavily. On September 18, 1999, while crossing the street less than two blocks from her daughter Katrice's house, a drunk driver hit and took Vivian from us.
Katrice Roper, the daughter of Vivian, and Wynter Roper, the daughter of Katrice, both RNs, decided to become Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and partnered with a couple of like-minded individuals passionate about helping the underserved formed Solace at Vivian’s. Together, we are changing lives one at a time.
